Sugaring For Sensitive Skin

Date

This ancient art of hair removal is perfect for almost all sensitive skin.

Did you know that body sugaring for sensitive skin has been around since the times of hieroglyphics? This technique was even described in ancient wall etchings! Sometimes, finding a spa that specializes in sugaring can be hard. This is because it can take a lot of patience and practice to perfect.

Luckily, at Sweet Secrets, we have highly trained sugarists. Our 100 per cent natural sugar, lemon, and water is blended into a perfect paste for sensitive skin types. It is even similar to honey in appearance and consistency. Fortunately, we ensure that our salon and paste is sanitary and much less painful than other forms of hair removal.

So, how do we do it?

The lukewarm paste is massed into the skin by a gloved hand. It is then molded against the natural direction of hair growth. Next, with a flick of the wrist, the sugar is gently removed in the direction of hair growth. Sugaring removes hair at a certain stage of growth. Usually this is as young as 12-14 days. This minimizes unnecessary discomfort, irritation, and ingrown hairs and is a key reason we choose sugaring for sensitive skin. As a little bonus, this is while exfoliating dry skin cells! When done correctly, the results are utterly smooth and beautiful skin.

We take the following extra steps while sugaring for sensitive skin.

Before sugaring, the skin is cleansed and powdered to create the best adhesion to the hair. After sugaring it’s best to keep your skin cleansed and exfoliated. The nice thing about body sugaring is that the hair is removed in the same direction as it naturally grows. Therefore, this create much less irritation. Waxing is very similar but the hair is ripped out against the natural direction of growth. That my dears is why waxing hurts so much.

Sugaring should never burn you.

Because sugaring paste is kept at a lukewarm temperature, there is no need to be fearful of painful burns like waxing. The best part of sugaring is the fact that the paste only adheres to the hairs and not the skin. It addition, your hair is removed directly from root therefore protecting the skin. So, no need to worry about bruising or abrasions here!

The bottom line, sugaring is the best hair removal alternative for people with sensitive skin.
